Katie Lyon has more than 15 years of experience as a cross-functional leader and executive. She partners with C-suite leaders, across sectors and functions, to tailor advisory and talent solutions to optimize organizational effectiveness. She is client-centric and growth-oriented, focusing on impact and enablement across Modern’s top clients.
Prior to Modern, Katie built and led a market sector within the advisory firm, Gallup, as Managing Director. In her role, she led a team and P&L, achieving top client retention scores and record-setting results to build a circa $23M division. She led the business effort to launch a now best-selling book and offering, CliftonStrengths for Students, and contributed regularly to thought leadership on talent strategy and workplace engagement.
Katie has a Bachelor of Art degree in English, graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Saint Olaf College. She also earned a Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing at the University of Iowa. She is based in Minneapolis, and is an active supporter of various education and youth-serving organizations.
