Anthony Ashe

Senior Partner

Anthony is an energetic, competitive, and courageous leader who enjoys building both internal and external relationships to deliver transformation results through talented PEOPLE. His career has spanned commercial leadership, search, talent strategy, and people development with deep expertise within the industrial industry along with a passion for DEI.

Prior to joining Modern, he was at US Steel where he was selected for the CEO Action for Racial Equity Fellowship. Previously, Anthony was VP, Sales, Marketing & Business Development at US Steel where his responsibility included all Commercial Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain activity for their multi-billion dollar Automotive, Packaging, & Appliance Commercial Segments; accomplished through organization development and talent optimization.

Previously, Anthony was the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Arconic’s innovative Forgings and Extrusions Business (AFE). After successfully reintegrating himself into the business, Anthony transitioned to lead a small P&L inside of AFE while also maintaining Global Marketing responsibility. As AFE grew both organically, and through mergers, Anthony was asked to lead NA Sales and key Customer Accounts along with his global marketing duties. In 2017, Anthony took the position of Vice President of Sales & Marketing for AFE’s entire $1.2 billion customer portfolio.

While Anthony is an executive coach and speaker in his spare time, he is honored to be on the Executive Board of Chicago LINK Unlimited, a non-profit with tremendous success in providing LINK Scholars the resources they need to be successful in high school and outpace their peers in college graduation rates. He recently was the Keynote Speaker for the Spokane Public School System annual STEM Gala. Additionally, he is an active member with the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and was previously on the executive boards of the NSBE Board of Corporate Affiliates, the Aluminum Association of America, and the Can Manufacturers Institute. 

Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from Santa Clara University, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in marketing/electronic commerce from Seattle University.
