Doug is a Senior Director within Modern’s Technology Practice, specializing in executive search and strategic advisory across the Fortune 500 and select PE & Hedge Fund clients.
Prior to joining Modern, Doug was a Senior Associate at Leathwaite where he delivered executive searches within the firm’s Technology & Digital Practice and led their Americas’ ESG initiatives. He focused on CISO and CTO placements within the Alternative Investment industry, but also specialized in tech leadership placements within the Crypto, Fintech, and Payment industries. As an Associate, in addition to tech, he also executed searches across Risk and Treasury. He began his search career with the Carol Hartman Group, a boutique focused on Wealth Management.
Doug spent his early career at United Entertainment Group within Experiential Marketing and as a Global Mentor and Talent Acquisition lead at ESM Prep, a full-service global educational consulting firm.
Doug grew up in South America and New York City and graduated high school from the American School in Japan in Tokyo. He received a B.A. in Film & Religion from Claremont McKenna College, and a MSc in Japanese Acupuncture from the Tri-State College of Acupuncture. Outside of work he spends the majority of his time at the Angelika Film Center, Padel Haus, or watching soccer.
