Emily McIntyre is a Senior Director at Modern working in the Technology sector. With over ten years’ experience delivering end-to-end executive search services, she is adept in sourcing, engaging, and assessing global leaders. She is passionate about providing high-quality client care and loves helping and advising candidates to find their perfect job. Emily is hugely proud of the work she does and believes executive search has a phenomenally important role to play in promoting and increasing diversity and inclusion.

Prior to joining Modern, Emily was an Executive Search Consultant at Berwick Partners (an Odgers Berndtson company) where she helped UK and international education organizations appoint outstanding senior leaders. She has worked across a wide variety of professional service and academic functions at the senior executive, senior management, and Board level. Her portfolio included several large universities across the higher education sector, as well as organizations within further education, healthcare, and government industries. Emily began her career in executive search with Perrett Laver where she gained experience working internationally, focusing on higher education clients globally as well as serving the not-for-profit and research and technology sectors.

Emily received her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from St Andrews University. Emily is passionate about education, technology and equality and diversity. She is a Trustee for a small education charity, Student Hubs, which aims to enhance student experience, develop employability, and improve student retention through volunteering, skilled placements, and project incubation. She is also a member of the SWISH (Supporting Women in Search) network and is passionate about promoting and mentoring talent within the search industry.
