Maris is a Business Operations Manager in Modern’s strategic business office, where she supports the optimization and execution of Modern’s integrated delivery model. With 7 years of experience spearheading cross-cutting projects, Maris is passionate about bringing strategic integrity to unprecedented collaboration. Before joining Modern, Maris co-founded and led operations at We All Rise Group, a nationally recognized consulting firm dedicated to hiring multicultural and multigenerational experts to advise on Oregon’s regional workforce and community development. She also worked for the World Resources Institute, where she coordinated and developed an internal strategy on Just Transition and the future of the workforce.

Maris received her Master's in Economics, Policy, and Transitions for Sustainable Resources from University College London, where her research focused on operational investments to de-risk international value chains. She also received her BA in Environmental Policy and Management from Loyola University Chicago.
