Maya is a Director in Modern's Organization Consulting Practice. She supports Modern's client work through the development of core company IP, as well as the delivery of innovative research solutions for leaders and organizations. Prior to Modern, Maya spent many years as an academic researcher, developing scientific expertise in leadership and organizational behavior topics. Working with USC's Neely Center for Ethical Leadership, she specifically explored how emerging technologies, such as AI, impact the future of work and human wellbeing.
Maya specializes in leveraging scientific insights to solve organizational problems. She takes a data- and research-oriented approach to deliver effective and innovative organizational solutions for clients. She is passionate about improving the daily lives of workers, supporting diverse teams and leaders, and helping to build a future of work that is inclusive and equitable for all.
Maya received her PhD in Management and Organization from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. She also received her BSc in Cognitive Science from Brown University. In her free time, she is an avid ceramicist and enjoys spending time outdoors in sunny Los Angeles, where she is based.
