Michelle Domanico

COO

Having spent a career in front office finance, my experience tells me it would be better to have no diversity, than diversity without equity & inclusion.  We are fundamentally changing the search industry and take it upon ourselves to ensure our candidates find a home and a sense of belonging.

Michelle Domanico has 12 years of global front-office financial investment experience specializing in evaluating corporate business models and underlying credit risks for high yield bonds and loans.

Prior to co-founding Modern, Michelle was a Senior Credit Analyst and Director of European Capital Markets for Shenkman Capital based in their London and New York offices for 5 years. Prior to her role at Shenkman, Michelle spent 6 years working as a Principal on KKR’s credit team based out of San Francisco, and she began her career as a leveraged finance analyst at UBS Investment Bank in New York.

She received a B.S. in Economics degree from the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School with concentrations in Finance, Accounting and Legal Studies (2008). In January 2016, Michelle was honored to be selected as one of Forbes 30 Under 30 in the Finance category.

Michelle has been a member of the Diversity & Inclusion committees at both Shenkman Capital and KKR, runs a women in finance network based out of New York, was on the Northern California board of 100 Women in Finance, and volunteers as a mentor for transitioning military veterans to careers in the private sector through American Corporate Partners.
